Russian Military Dogs - A Russian state aviation company showed dogs testing newly developed parachutes, designed to drop a person and a service dog.
Dogs have been part of the police and defense forces for years, assisting officers in many operations, and Russia seems to be taking it up a notch. The village tests whether dogs can parachute out of airplanes! Now, the spectacular footage of its first test landing has gone viral, attracting netizens from all over the world.

According to reports, Technodynamica, part of the Rostec State Corporation, created the device by order of Russia's Ministry of Defense.
Footage broadcast on state media showed a German shepherd taking off from 13,000 feet and landing in an open field. "Four-legged law enforcement officers are often involved in military and rescue operations, but sometimes it takes too long to reach a destination on foot, and landing by helicopter or plane is impossible," the company said in a press release.
Test paratroopers Yuri Mironov and Andrei Toropkov said the test subjects "felt fine" but needed more preparation.
. "We don't know how their bodies will react," she said, adding that before the four-legged parachutists made eight jumps, they were given no food or water for a period of time.

Although the test paratroopers admitted that the dogs were tense when the door was opened and "there was wind and noise, but they calmed down because of the dog's driver".
"We plan to complete state tests this year at the State Flight Test Center of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Next year, the system will actually be accepted for deliveries to the Ministry of Defense," he said. Chief designer Alexei Kosin quoted.
"Preliminary tests did not reveal deviations or negative results. A dog behaves well after an air jump and is ready to perform the assigned tasks on landing," said the chief designer. The DOG airdropping system will be unveiled to the public at the Army 2021 International Military and Technical Forum, the report added.
The makers added that they are working on doubling the maximum height of canine parachute jumps to 8,000 meters with special canine oxygen equipment support.
